TROUBLESHOOTING

If any problem should occur during operation of your AlertMaster
AL12 Remote Receiver, review the “Symptom and Remedy” list
below. Refer to the “Troubleshooting” section in your AlertMaster
AL10 User Guide for other difficulties not listed here. Make sure
no part of the AlertMaster system is on or near metal surfaces or
electrical equipment. Should the difficulty persist, contact Clarity
or your authorized dealer for assistance.

WARNING! DO NOT open the unit. You may be exposed to
hazardous high voltage electricity.

Symptom

Cause and Remedy

LAMP CONTROL button
doesn’t work

Lamp is not turned on prior to
plugging it into the AL12. Press
the lamp button so it is on.
Replace bulb if necessary.

Receiver does not activate in
conjunction with base unit

The DIP switches may be
incorrectly set. The DIP
switches on the back of the
AL12 should match the switch
settings on the base of the
AL10.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

The AlertMaster AL12 is designed to work with optional wireless
remote receivers and transmitters, each sold separately.

A. Personal Signaler (AMPX™)

Wear this lightweight receiver on
your belt anywhere around your
house and you’ll be alerted to any
activity in your home. It has an 80-
foot range and a miniature console
of indicator lights, and also alerts
with different vibrating motions
for each function.

B. Personal Tactile Signaler
(AMPXB™)

Similar to AMPX plus a touch
switch for people who are deaf
and blind.

C. Audio Alarm Transmitter
(AMAX™)

Place this next to any audio alarm
for notification when the alarm
is activated. It activates the Alarm
function of the AlertMaster system
and has a range of up to 80 feet.
