SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance,
basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. T o pr otect against risk of electric
shock, do not put the hand mixer
motor housing or cord in water or other
liquid. If hand mixer motor housing or
cord falls into liquid, unplug the cor d
from outlet immediately . Do not r each
into the liquid.
3. T o avoid possible accidental injury , close
supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug fr om outlet when not in use,
before putting on or taking of f parts,
and before cleaning.
5. A void contact with moving parts. Keep
hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas
and other utensils away from beaters
during operation to reduce risk of injury
to persons, and/or damage to the mixer.
6. Remove beaters fr om the mixer before
washing.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or is dropped
or damaged in any manner. Retur n
appliance to the nearest authorized

service facility for examina-
tion, repair , mechanical or electrical
adjustment.
8. The use of attachments not r ecom-
mended by Cuisinart
®
may cause fire,
electric shock, or risk of injury.
9. Do not use outdoors or anywher e the
cord or mixer might come into contact
with water while in use.
10. To avoid possibility of mixer being
accidentally pulled off work ar ea, which
could result in damage to the mixer or in
personal injury, do not let cor d hang
over edge of table or counter.
11. To avoid damage to cord and possible
fire or electr ocution hazard, do not let
cord contact hot surfaces, including
the stove.
12. The chef ’s whisk should be used
without any other attachment.

feature, this plug will fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
