Manual Addendum

In order to provide the best possible product, we have made a change to the exhaust coupler. The exhaust
coupler (new item number: PRB2290) is now made of high temperature Teflon

®

with a stainless steel braded

exterior. Clamps (PRB2294) are included to properly secure the coupler. For your convenience, we have
included a spare coupler for you.

After a period of time, it may become necessary to replace the exhaust coupler that joins the tuned pipe to the
exhaust manifold. To replace the coupler, follow these simple instructions:

Replacing the Exhaust Coupler

Step 1. Use a flat head screwdriver to loosen the
clamps that secure the coupler.

Step 2. Use a 3mm hex driver to loosen the two
tuned pipe mount screws. Pull the tuned pipe out
as shown. At this time, slide the clamps off.

Step 3. Remove the remainder of the worn coupler
(from manifold and/or pipe) and thoroughly wipe
away any oily residue from both the manifold and
the pipe. It will be helpful to use motor spray
(DYN5500) or alcohol to fully remove the residue.

Step 4. Locate the replacement coupler and slide it
onto the manifold. Next, slide the clamps back onto
the exhaust coupler (but do not tighten). Slide the
tuned pipe back into the exhaust coupler. Make
certain that there is approximately 1/4” of space
between the manifold and the tuned pipe. Tighten
the clamps.

Step 5. Secure the pipe as it was previously.
Be certain to add a drop of threadlock to the
3mm hex screws prior to tightening them.

* Please note that photo D of the appendix

on page 11 of the manual shows the
incorrect exhaust coupler. Please refer
to the photos on this addendum for the
correct coupler.
