Progressive Industries Remote Bypass - Manual

REMOTE BYPASS SWITCH INSTRUCTIONS
1. Determine where the switch box is to be located
(maximum of 4 ft from EMS).
2. Strip back switch end one inch and conductors 3/8”.
3. Crimp on smaller of two female terminals.
4. Attach black conductor to center tab on switch.
5. Attach red conductor to either free tab on switch.
6. Place switch in box and mount box. Cable needs to
come out U-shaped hole on side, so box mounts flush to
surface without crimping cable.
7. Strip EMS end to 3 inches and conductors 3/8”.
8. Crimp remaining female terminals onto cable.
9. Feed cable into input end of EMS.
10. Attach black conductor to blank male terminal located
on input side under the white power cord neutral.
11. Remove blue jumper wire that is attached to relay on
one end and the other is not connected to anything.
Replace blue jumper with red switch wire.
12. Replace EMS cover, and apply power to EMS.
13. Next, be sure switch is mounted properly according to
printing on box, if not, remove switch, NOT box and
orientate so that switch is matched up to box printing.
(If there is no delay when power is
applied, the EMS is in bypass)
