SHOOTING WITH A RAW HISTOGRAM:

For ideal exposure, aim for a “thick” negative. This is
achieved by exposing for density in the center of the his-
togram. RAW clipping, noise, and “traffic light” meters also
aid in monitoring exposure.

To maximize image quality, select lowest possible
compression.

FEATURE FILM:

5:1 - 8:1

Select Compression ratio based on project length.

COMMERCIAL/BROADCAST:

6:1-9:1

Select compression ratio based on budget.

WEB CONTENT:

8:1-13:1

Use less media space but keep that flawless image.
