SeaLand Vacuum Breaker Kit - Manual

1. Turn off water supply to toilet.
2a. Reach behind toilet. Twist and pull vacuum breaker
from back of toilet bowl. Go to Step 6.
2b. If you are unable to pull vacuum breaker from back
of toilet because toilet bowl is too close to wall,
press flush pedal to drain water from toilet bowl,
then go to Step 3.
3a. For toilets with visible floor bolts, uncover bolts and
remove them. Remove toilet from floor flange. Tilt
or turn toilet away from wall and pull vacuum
breaker from back of toilet. Set toilet aside. Go to
step 5.
3b. For toilet with pedestal cover, remove pedestal cover,
then remove floor bolts. Remove toilet from floor flange.
Tilt or turn toilet away from wall and pull vacuum breaker
from back of toilet. Set toilet aside.
4. For toilet models 110, 111, 147, 148, 210, 706, 711-M28 and 712-TM09, remove vacuum
breaker cover.
5. Remove water valve hose (and hand sprayer hose, if applicable) from old vacuum
breaker and install on new vacuum breaker with new hose clamp (supplied). For new
vacuum breaker equipped with hand sprayer outlet, make sure strain-relief bracket is
positioned on water valve connection side of vacuum breaker and hand sprayer hose
(as shown) before connecting water valve hose.
6. On back of toilet bowl, pull old rubber expansion gasket out. Insert new rubber
expansion gasket.
7. For toilet models 110, 111, 147, 148, 210, 706, 711-M28, 712-TM09, 3210, 3310, 3410,
4310 and 4410, remove top Disc from new vacuum breaker (if supplied with new
vacuum breaker).
8. Using soapy water as a lubricant, insert new vacuum breaker into expansion gasket as
far as possible. Reinstall vacuum breaker cover (if applicable).
9a. If you did not remove toilet bowl from base or floor, go to Step 11.
9b. If you removed toilet from floor, reassemble by positioning toilet and floor flange seal
properly onto floor flange and tightening fasteners. NOTE: If floor flange seal is
distorted, replace with new seal.
10. Reinstall pedestal cover (if applicable).
11. Turn on water supply.
