STEP 2 - Stock Installation
Pull down on the pin just above the friction lock, and slide the
stock the rest of the way on to the carbine-length receiver
extension.
STEP 3 - Friction Lock Test
With the stock installed and secured in position, depress the
friction lock - there should be zero movement in the stock.
STEP 4 - Function Check
Depress the adjustment lever and slide the stock forward and
back to check for proper function. If you are unsure of your
work, have a qualified gunsmith examine the rifle prior to
loading or firing the weapon.

STEP 1 - Stock Preparation
STOP! There are two versions of the CTR; one for mil-spec
carbine-length receiver extensions, and one for proprietary
carbine-length receiver extensions. Depress the adjustment
lever to disengage the friction lock.
If the stock does not slide
over the receiver extension, contact Magpul for a
replacement at 1.877.4MAGPUL!
