CAUTION

The laser beam can be harmful to human bodies. Since radiation emitted inside the product is
completely confined within protective housings and external covers, the laser beam cannot
escape from the machine during any phase of user operation. Read the following remarks and
instructions for safety.

Never open covers other than those instructed in the User manual - Operating Information or
the operator panel.

If the laser beam escapes from the machine, exposure may cause serious damage to your eyes.

There are some areas inside the machine, such as the fixing unit or the original output area, that
are subject to high temperatures. Be careful to only touch those areas inside the machine as
instructed in the manual. Failure to observe this precaution may result in burns.

There are some areas inside the machine that are subject to high-voltages. These areas are
indicated by caution labels. Be careful not to touch these areas or their surrounding areas when
removing jammed paper, as this may result in an electrical shock.

Do not remove the following caution labels which are attached to the machine. If the labels have
been removed, contact your local authorized dealer.
