Instrument Operation

Press the ON/OFF button to activate the thermometer. The unit will turn off
automatically after 10 minutes to save battery life.

Insert the stainless steel probe a minimum of 1” (25mm) into the object to be
measured. The measured temperature will be shown on the LCD display.

To Select ˚C or ˚F

Press the °C/°F button to select the desired temperature unit.

Battery Installation

Replace the battery if the LCD display becomes dim.
1. Insert a coin or flat blade screwdriver into the notch on the side of the

thermometer case.

2. Carefully twist to open the case.
3. Replace the battery with a 1.5 volt, type A76, observing the correct polarity.
4. Snap the cover back into place.

Care and Cleaning

• Clean the probe immediately after each measurement to avoid cross

contamination.

• Do not expose the entire thermometer to temperatures below 14°F / -10°C or

over 122˚F / 50˚C. Incorrect readings or damage to the thermometer may
result.
