Instruction Sheet For The Quik-Set Mailbox Post

STEP #1

Connect top post to bottom section with bolts (2-2")

provided. (See A)Tighten securely to prevent post from

wobbling.

STEP #2

Locate installation area. Level, if necessary, an area 9"

square for stabilizer plate. Remove all loose soil and

grass for best installation.

STEP #3

Place tip of auger in center of desired area. Insert 18"

rod, provided, in hole in top of post. With both hands on

either side of 18 inch rod press down firmly as you turn

in a clockwise direction. Turn only 1/4 turns as you walk

around post making sure post is held in a plumb position

at all times.

STEP #4

As the bottom of the post is pulled near ground level,

clear away loose soil. Place stabilizer plate onto rod and

press down firmly to embed the down turned corners

into the ground (See B). Now continue to turn the post

until the metal plate at bottom tightens securely against

the stabilizer plate (See C). Continue to turn slowly

until the scroll face front of mailbox.

CAUTION: Should the base hit an underground object

(ie. rock, stump) and will not turn-STOP. Continued

turning may damage the anchor base. Simply

remove the anchor base (unscrew) and move to a

new location and reinstall.

STEP #5

Adjust bracket halves to fit width of mailbox aligning

holes in brackets (See D).

IMPORTANT: BE SURE BOTH BRACKET HALVES ARE

OVERLAPPED THE SAME WAY TO INSURE PROPER

ALIGNMENT WITH MAILBOX HOLES.

Next mount bracket halves to post with bolts provided

(2-1/2") (Note: Bolts pass through brackets and beside

post) and tighten securely, do not over tighten!

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY

TIE DOWN ENGINEERING, Inc. warrants for a period of twenty four (24) months from the

date of purchase that each new Quik-Set Mailbox Post shall be free from any defect in material and

workmanship subject to the following conditions, exclusion, obligations, and limitations.

1. COVERAGE. Any material or workmanship found to be defective by Tie Down within twenty four

(24) months warranty term shall be remedied without charge at any authorized Quik-Set dealer

located within the USA. This warranty is limited solely to remedying of defects in materials or

workmanship and does not cover inconvenience or loss of use.

2. OWNERS OBLIGATION- To install the Quik-Set Mailbox Post as instructed and maintain periodically

at owner's expense. Any warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase including date

and location.

3. LIMITATIONS - This warranty shall not apply to or included any of the following:

(a) Damage sustained by any moving vehicle.

(b) Misuse or neglect on owners part.

(c) Deterioration or paint finish

(d) Damage sustained due to vandalism, theft or any act of God.

4. LEGAL RIGHTS - This warranty gives you specific rights, you may also have other rights which

vary from state to state.
