CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow the instructions on this sheet when charging the

battery. Be sure to recharge after each use.

1. Attach the short pigtail (supplied) to the quick charge jack

plug coming out of the charging unit.

2. Plug the charger into a standard 110 volt wall outlet. If you’re

using a Vexilar Ultra Pack, be sure the Master Power Switch

is in the ON position. The GREEN light will come on. You do

not need to disconnect the flasher unit.

3. Connect the red clip to the positive battery terminal, or

charging post, and the black clip to the negative terminal,

or charging post. The GREEN light will change to RED,

indicating you are now charging.

4. Allow the battery to charge until the light turns back to

GREEN.

This charger is a fully automatic three-stage, 1 Amp, charger. It will recharge a completely

discharged battery in 8 hours or less. When the light turns GREEN, it indicates the charger

has switched to Maintenance Mode The battery voltage will be maintained at a safe level

indefinitely. You do not need to disconnect the charger until the battery’s next use.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Charger Flashes Red: This means you have connected the battery terminals incorrectly Red is

positive, black is negative. Reverse the connections and look for a solid red light.
Battery Gets Hot: A battery that gets hot while charging has become “resistive”. Current passes

through it, but the battery will not charge. The battery must be replaced.
Battery recharges for a short time, even when full: Even if your battery is fully charged the light

should briefly go from red to green, when you first plug it in, this is normal.
Battery Will Not Charge: If you connect the battery and it stays green 100% of the time, your

battery may be completely dead and your charger does not even recognize it has been connected to

terminals. Battery should be replaced.

NOTICE

Battery failure due to excessive discharge (leaving it connected during storage periods) will

not be covered under warranty.
