WARNING

]

HAZARDS CAN OCCUR IF EQUIPMENT IS NOT USED PROPERLY.

READ THE FOLLOWING CHART

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

WHAT COULD HAPPEN

HOW TO PREVENT IT

Hot Parts

■Rie top of the compressor gets
hot when the compressor is run
ning. If you touch it you may be

seriously burned.

Never touch the top of the air comFxessor during
OT immediately after operation. Always use toe
handle.

Flammable Vapors

It is normal for the motor’s electri

cal contacts to spark when the
compressor starts or stops. A
spark

can

ignite

flammable

vapors from gasoline or solvents,
causing an »friosion or fire.

The air compressor must only be used in well
ventilated areas, free of gasoline or solvent
vapors.

Do not operate the compr^or virhile you are

carrying it, or in toe spray area.

Compressed Air

Compressed air can propel dust
dirt or loose particles it comes in
contact with.

Never point any nozzle or sprayer toward a per

son or any part of toe lH)dy.

Always wear safety goggles or glasses when
using the air compressor.

Always turn the air compressor off before
attaching or removing accessories.

Too much air f^essure applied to

air tools or accessories can
cause damage or risk of bursting.

Check the memufacturer’s maximum pres»ire
rating for air tools №d accessories. F^ulator
outlet pressure must never exceed the max
imum pressure rating.

Tbxic V^aors

It is normal for compressed air to

contain tocic or irritating vapors.
Such

vapors

are

harmful

if

inhaled.

Certain materials you are spray
ing (lite paint, weed killer, sand or

insecticide) can be harmful if you
inhale them.

Never directly inhale the compressed air pro
duced by this unit

vided on toe label or safety data sheet for tf«
material you are spraying. Use a respirator
ma^ if there is a chance of inhaling ariything
you are spraying. F^ad all instructions.. .be
sure that the respirator mask is suitabte for your
application.

Electrteity

Your air compressor is powered

electricity. Like any other elec-

tricsJly powered device, If It is not
us^ properly it can cause electri
cal shock.

Always unplug the air compressor prior to man-

tenance or repair.

Never use toe air compressor in the rain.

Always plug the cord into an electrical outlet
with the specified voltage and adequate fuse
protection.

Unsuit^le

Solvents

The solvOTts 1,1,1-Trichlorethane
and

Methylene

Chloride

can

chemically react with aluminum
used in paint spray guns, paint
pumps, etc., and cause an explo
sion. These solvents can also

react with galvanized compo
nents and cause corrosion and

weakening of parts. This will not

affect your air compressor, but It
may affect the equipment you
use.

Read toe label or data sheet supplied wito the
material you intend to spray. If ft contains tf»
^iverrts listed do not use accessories tf^t con

tain aluminum or galvanized parts. You must

either charge the material you intend to spray,

or use only stainless steel spray equipment
