DRIVER LOUDSPEAKER
DESCRIPTION
The ALTEC 730C Driver Loudspeaker is designed
to provide maximum performance at minimum
cost. It may be used with ALTEC multicellular
horns or the 31A and 511A sectoral horns, and
will provide smooth response from 300 Hz to
8000 Hz. The 730C can handle up to 50 watts,
but requires less wattage from its driving ampli
fier due to its high efficiency.
The 730C is equipped with a removable, heavy-
duty, weatherproof housing. Threaded holes
are provided inside the housing for mounting
an appropriate ALTEC 70V line transformer. Like
all ALTEC public address driver loudspeakers,
the diaphragm and voice coil assembly can be
replaced in the field by untrained personnel
without the use of special tools.
The ALTEC 730C is ideally suited for outdoor,
and many indoor sound reinforcement and
announcing systems, where proven ruggedness
and reliability are a requisite.
