Requirements
To begin, make sure you have the following equipment:
• A small flat blade screwdriver for tightening the connectors (Bimba screwdriver included).
• A personal computer running Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, XP, Vista,7 (32 and 64 bit), or 8.
• IQ® stepper software (available at www.bimba.com).
• For RS-232 models: a Bimba programming cable (included).
• For RS-485 models: a RS-422 or RS-485 port or adapter for your PC (see page 2 for recommended RS-485 adapter).
• For more detailed information, please download and read the ITM-23Q Hardware Manual available at www.bimba.com.

Quick Start Guide
a) Download and install the IQ ® stepper software.
b) Launch the software by clicking:
Start / All Programs / Bimba / IQ ® stepper
c) Select the correct COM port using the drop down list.
d) Connect the drive to your PC using the RS-232 programming cable or
RS-422/485 adaptor.
Wire the drive to the DC power source.
(do not apply power until all connections to the drive have been made)
Note, the ITM-23Q accept DC voltages from 24-48 Vdc.

If using an external fuse, we recommend the following:
ITM-23Q : 3AG, 4 amp (Littlefuse 313004P)
