Heater Problem Solver
PROBLEM WHAT TO DO
1. Heater doesn’t come on.
Clock not on. * Check that power is switched on at
heater.
2. Heater doesn’t come on.
Clock is on * Check that “ON OFF” switch is on
(indicator light is on.)
* Check that “HEAT” switch is on.
* Check that “AUTO-MANUAL” switch is
on “MANUAL”.
* Turn thermostat up.
* Check that thermostat sensor is not
exposed to another heat source.
3. Heater doesn’t come on when
unit is on “Automatic program. * Check that “HEAT” switch is on “HEAT”
(indicator light is on.)
* Check that unit is on “AUTO”
* Turn thermostat up.
* Check that “AUTO-TIME-1” or “AUTO-
TIME-2” button is on.
* Check that the heater is programmed to
be on at this time (slide the program
selector across the four “TIME-1” and
“TIME-2” on and off positions to check).
NOTE: if either of the “AUTO TIME”
buttons is switched off and on again
within a programmed heating period, the
heater will not come on again in that time
period for 24 hours.
4. Cannot set time of day. * Check that program selector is at “TIME”
position before adjusting.
5. Cannot set automatic heating
periods. * Check that program selector is at the
“TIME-1” or “TIME-2” on or off positions
before setting the time.
