The USA-1 has built in feature of automatically scanning the presets and automatically
storing new presets.Control this feature by using the Preset Scan and Auto Store
Button(13)-”P/S”.

1.

Preset Scan
Momentarily pressing the P/S button (13) will provide recalling stations that are
programmed into the 6 preset buttons. The receiver will search for the station
programmed on preset button 1 and hold that station for 5 seconds and then start
searching again for the station programmed on preset button 2. The receiver will
continue to search until momentarily pressing the P/S button again or any other
button on the face of the radio.

NOTE: if you have no pre-programmed stations on each preset button ,the radio will search
through its default stations. These defaults may not correspond to any radio station in your
area, which will make the radio continually search for a station.

Auto Store(Automatic Preset Memory System)
Start by pressing and holding the P/S button for at least 1 second. The radio will then
start to search for stations beginning at the frequency currently being received. The
radio searches for stations in ascending order of the frequency. The preset memories
are updated once all of the frequencies are searched through.

AUX Input Operation

This feature is for connecting an optional portable audio device such as: IPOD,
CD/MP3/TV/DVD/Satellite radio etc. The USA-1 radio comes with an AUX cable that can
plug directly into a headphone connector of a portable device, If this is not the style of con-
nector on your portable device,you may need to purchase the appropriate cables or parts
separately, Once you have connected your portable device to the USA-1, turn on the
USA-1 and the portable device.

Depress the AUX button (16) on the USA-1. “AUX” will be visible on the LCD display.

Adjust the Volume (1) on the USA-1 to the desired level. If the volume level of the
radio and the portable device are not the same, you may need to adjust the volume
level of the portable device,

3.

Control your portable device in the way you normally would. The portable device
should be Playing through the speakers in your vehicle.

Cassette Playing Basic Operation

1.

Insert a cassette into the Cassette (4) .The open end of the cassette should be facing
the right side of the USA-1. The Tape Direction lndicators (18) on the left
side of the LCD Display (5). “Tape” will be visible on the LCD display.

2.

Adjust the Volume (1), to the desired position.

3.

Determine which direction the tape is traveling by viewing the Tape Direction

Indicator (18).

4.

To fast forward the tape, press the Tape Advance Control (6 or 7) with the two arrows
pointing in the same direction as the tape direction indicator.
