Excessive Oil Consumption

Compressor Over heating

CORRECTION

Make sure flywheel is tight by tight-
ening screw. Torque screw to
20 +5 -0 foot-pounds.

Tighten belt.

Replace.

Reduce air consumption or add
additional air compressor to take
up load.

Drain pump and replace with new
oil.

Check pulley and/or flywheel for lat-
eral movements. Contact engine
manufacturer for repair, or DeVil-
biss if a compressor problem ex-
ists.

Reduce air consumption or add ad-
ditional air compressor to take up
load.

Clean.

Clean.

Use remote air intake.

Replace.

Relocate.

Check for source or leaks and cor-
rect.

Replace with a larger unit.

Replace.

Replace remote air intake pipping.

Compressor should not exceed
50% run time, which is maximum
30 min/hr. Check for source of

Under sized unit for air require-
ment.

Unloader not operating.

Remote air intake pipe to small
or restricted.

Insufficient "OFF" time. Com-
pressor is running almost
continuously.
