2. Set FEEDING TIME 1: Press the “SET” button again. 00:00 will be

displayed. The symbol for Feeding time 1, the digit “1”, will blink.

Press the “HR” button to program hour of first feeding time. Press

the “MIN” button to set minutes. To set another feeding time

proceed to point 3. To end setting the feeding times press “SET”

until all the feeding time symbols (digits) have stopped blinking.

The blinking arrow will show the feeding time that is up next. The

device is now programmed.

3. Set FEEDING TIME 2: Press the “SET” button. 00:00 will be

displayed. The symbol for Feeding time 2, the digit “2” will blink.

Press the “HR” button to program hour of first feeding time.

Press the “MIN” button to set minutes. To set more feeding times

repeat the steps mentioned above. To end setting the feeding

times press “SET” until all the feeding time symbols (digits)

have stopped blinking. The blinking arrow will show the feeding

time that is up next. The device is now fully programmed. If the

batteries have been replaced or removed, the Exo Terra

®

Turtle

Feeder will need to be re-programmed. If no numbers are shown

on the display please check the batteries for proper installation

or replace them.

Preparing the Exo Terra

®

Turtle Feeder:

1. Remove the food chamber from the mounting bracket: gently pull

the food container and remove it from the control panel (C).

2. Remove the transparent cover from the food chamber. Insert the

food, for example Exo Terra

®

Turtle Pellets. The food should not be

compressed in order to ensure an even release.

3. Close the food chamber by

putting the transparent cover

back into place. Affix the

container on the control panel

and attach the feeding unit to

the terrarium.

4. Adjust the feeding portions

with the controller of the

dispensing door (D). Test the

quantity released by pressing

the FEED button. Adjust if

necessary. Generally Aquatic

Turtles need to be fed 1-2

times a day. The amount of food

dispensed should be consumed

in 5-10 minutes. Scoop out the

remaining food and discard.

Installation of the Exo Terra

®

Turtle Feeder on the terrarium:

Included with the Exo Terra

®

Turtle Feeder is a mounting bracket that

will allow you to easily clamp the unit onto the rim of the terrarium

(A). It can be placed on any rim with a width up to 24,5 mm (1 inch).

1. Loosen the mounting bracket’s attachment screw.

2. Position the mounting system on the preferred place with the

screw aimed to the outside of the terrarium (B).

3. Affix it to the rim of the terrarium by tightening the mounting

bracket’s plastic attachment screw.

4. Do not over-tighten.

5. Continue by inserting 2 x type AA batteries in the battery

compartment (batteries not included).

6. Mount the device on the mounting bracket. To obtain a good

stability, the food chamber has to be placed in the opposite

direction of the attachment screw (B).

7. Gently tap the Turtle Feeder to make sure that it is firmly attached

to the rim of the terrarium.

Programming the Exo Terra

®

Turtle Feeder

SET button: Select local time and feeding times

FEED button: (manual food release) press this button to release

additional food or to test the functionality of the device; the food

chamber will rotate once.

HR & MIN button: after pressing the SET button, the respective

symbol (local time or feeding time) blinks and can be set with the HR

and MIN buttons

1. Set LOCAL TIME or clock: Press the “SET” button once. A “clock”

symbol will blink. Push the “HR” button to set hour time and the

“MIN” button to set minutes.
