ACLS Quick Start Guide

Quick Start Guide for System Users

Welcome to HeartCode ACLS. In order receive your AHA ACLS Course Completion
Card, you will need to successfully complete the Part 1 Cognitive and Parts 2 and 3,
Skills Practice and Testing portions of the HeartCode ACLS program.

Starting the courses and claiming HeartCode ACLS Part 1 and
CME/CE certificates
• Start and complete the team dynamics lesson
• Complete the 10 patient scenarios and test
• Fill out the evaluation questionnaire
• Click on the “Claim Part 1 Certificate”

• Fill out the personal details & claim the

certificate

• Click on the “Claim CME/CE Certificate”

• Fill out the personal details & claim the

certificate

Starting HeartCode ACLS Parts 2 and 3
When you have successfully completed HeartCode ACLS Part 1 Cognitive, let your
administrator know that you are ready to start the Parts 2 and 3, Skills Practice and
Testing. You will complete the skills portion by using a designated PC that has both the
HeartCode ACLS Skills software installed and the voice-assisted manikin attached. If
you are completing your skills practice and test with an AHA ACLS Instructor, see the
section “Instructor-based certification” on the next page.
• Log in with the same login as you used in

Part 1 and go to the course overview

• Start HeartCode ACLS Parts 2 and 3
• Finish the skills assessments & fill out the

evaluation questionnaire

• Click on “Claim Parts 2 and 3 Certificate”

• Fill out the personal details & claim the

certificate

Please note that you must claim the certificates
before you can get your Course Completion
