Determine the thickness of the lines
1. Put your insertion point in the cell (or select the cells) you want to modify.
2. Click to select the buttons of the lines you wish to modify.
3. Choose the thickness you want from the Thickness pop-up menu of the Table Cell Borders
palette
You can choose between None, Hairline, 1/2 pt (point), 3/4 pt up to 8 pt thick lines.

When these lines do not appear (if you have set their thickness to None), Nisus Writer Express
displays Table Guides the color of which you can customize in the Appearance preferences as
explained in “Determine the Color of Various Aspects of Your Nisus Writer Express Working
Environment” on page 230.
Determine the style (pattern) of the lines
1. Put your insertion point in the cell (or select the cells) you want to modify.
2. Click to select the buttons of the lines you wish to modify.
3. Choose the style you want from the Style pop-up menu of the Table Cell Borders palette
You can choose between none, and a wide variety of styles.
