SPEAKER-LEVEL CONNECTION:
VOLUME CONTROLLED EXTERNALLY (ZONE 2)

Zone 2 volume level of full-range speakers and subwoofer may be controlled
by the Paradigm VC-150 Volume Control

(sold separately). Requires running

speaker wire from the Paradigm VC-150 Volume Control back to the
Paradigm PT-2 transmitter.

1. Plug in PT-2 wireless transmitter.

2. Press and hold sync button on front panel of PT-2 for

3 seconds. The LED will blink quickly.

3. Within 60 secs of pressing the sync button all subwoofers

must be plugged in. Once all subwoofers are synched, the
LED will remain ‘on’.

Off: No power.
Fast blinking: Set-up mode.
Dim: Unit in standby mode, no transmission.
Slow blinking, ‘off’ to bright: Waking from standby mode
and synching.
Slow blinking, dim to bright: At least one subwoofer is synched.
Permanently On: All subwoofers synched and receiving signal.

TIP! Once all subwoofers have been synched, if necessary they
can be unplugged and moved without resynching again.

The latency switch adjusts the delay between the PT-2’s audio
signal input and the subwoofer receiver’s RF output, optimizing
integrity of the wireless transmission. Start with the switch
in the 15ms position. If you experience sound quality issues
(i.e drop-outs, pops, ticks), you can improve the connection by
moving the switch to 20ms or 25ms to increase latency.

Receiver without line-level connection.

Receiver without bass management.

LINE-LEVEL CONNECTION (WITH SUB-OUT/LFE):
VOLUME CONTROLLED BY RECEIVER

Receiver with bass management.

Volume Control occurs at receiver.

In a typical listening room the PT-2 transmitter has a
maximum range of 50’ (15 m). Obstructions such as walls,
large pieces of furniture, room dividers, etc., may reduce this
range. Do not place subwoofer(s) and transmitter farther
apart than the recommended range. The PT-2 is a 2.4 GHz
digital design that automatically adjusts for best wireless
connection while constantly monitoring the integrity of the
data stream. An RCA audio cable is required (not included) to
connect it to your A/V receiver or preamplifier (see dealer).

One PT-2 transmitter can be used with up to four wireless
Paradigm subwoofers. See dealer for full details on connecting
multiple subwoofers.

Zone 2 Operation

Your PT-2 transmitter will work with a subwoofer(s) in a second
zone (i.e. another area of your home).

TIP! To minimize the chance of signal dropouts or signal
interference, keep the PT-2 transmitter out of range of a
microwave oven, mobile telephone or a Bluetooth device
operating on the same frequency.

IMPORTANT! Paradigm recommends using
speaker-level OR line-level connections. DO
NOT USE BOTH CONNECTIONS AT THE
SAME TIME.

Your PT-2 transmitter is designed to work
with Paradigm brand subwoofers only.
