Televue DC/Stepper Motor Installation
Step 1. Remove focus knob using a Phillips screwdriver
from side to attach motor to. HOLD other focus knob so
screwdriver does not slip. This figure shows LEFT focus
knob removal. Step 2: Attach gear to knob using 5 nylon shoulder
screws through 5 holes in knob using supplied allen
wrench. Reattach focus knob to focus shaft using a
Phillips Screwdriver. Hold other focus knob so
screwdriver does not slip. Step 3. Turn telescope upside-down and carefully remove the 2
button screws from pinion block on side nearest the gear using
allen wrench. Be careful pinion block and focuser shaft don’t
shift.
Step 4. : Attach motor and bracket to pinion block with
the 2 button screws you removed, using allen wrench.
Tighten 2 red thumbscrews to engage motor with gear on
focuser shaft. Gear mesh can be adjusted radially by
loosening set screw on gear and sliding in/out on the
motor shaft. Step 5: Plug focus motor into controller and run up & down so gears mesh properly, recheck motor bracket screws to make
sure bracket is tight. FOR MANUAL OPERATION loosen red thumb screws.

subjected to purchaser abuse, accident, negligence or damage subsequent to purchase including battery damage to product. This warranty excludes incidental or consequential damages resulting from the product or use of the product. The
product is not a toy. Keep away from children.
