Read and understand these instructions before operating this tool.

SANDER SAFETY

Sanders can cause flying particles.

Proper eye protection must be worn at all times by tool user and bystanders.

Flying particles can cause eye injury.

This sander is not guarded for use with a grinding wheel.

Do not operate this sander with a grinding wheel.

Operating this sander with a grinding wheel can cause injury.

Sanding discs larger than 5” (127 mm) can fly apart if used on this sander.

Do not use sanding discs larger than 5” (127 mm) with this sander.

Sanding discs that fly apart can cause injury.

Only one sanding disc installed on this tool at a time can be properly tightened.

Do not install more than one sanding disc at one time.

Sanding discs that are not properly tightened can come off and cause injury.

Backing pads that are worn, damaged, nicked, bent, warped or burred can cause the sanding disk to tear and burst.

Do not use backing pads that are damaged, nicked, bent, warped or burred.

Sanding pads that burst can cause injury.

Power tools generate noise.

Ear protection must be worn when tool noise level exceeds 85 dBA. We also recommend that ear protection be worn when the
tool noise level is below 85 dBA. See the tool’s information sheet for the noise level.

Excessive vibration can cause injury. If numbness, tingling, pain or whitening of the skin occurs, stop using tool and consult a

Keep loose hair away from power tools and accessories. Keep hands away from moving parts of the tool and accessories. Do
not wear jewelry, loose clothing, or neckwear around power tools. Keep work area clear of cleaning rags and all items that could
become entangled with the tool.

Do not breathe sanding dust. Use approved mask.

This tool is not insulated for contact with electric power sources.

Do not use near live electric circuits.

Sanding metal can create sparks which can ignite flammable materials or vapors.

Only sand metal if the area is free of combustible or explosive materials or vapors.

Keep a firm grip on the tool at all times. Be sure your body position allows you to have control of the tool at all times. Make sure
your footing is secure. When possible, secure the work piece in a vice or with clamps.
