4x Reserved: Bit 9

Bit 9 is reserved. Bit 9 should be set to a “0.”

4x Autosequence Disable: Bit 10

When Autosequence Disable is active (Bit 10=1), the module reads only the

eight channels identified by the Group Select Bits. If Autosequence Disable

is inactive (Bit 10=0), the Autosequence mode will be in effect. When in

autosequence mode, the module ignores the channel group select in the 4x+0

configuration word, and instead sequences through all four groups automatically.

The values in the eight data registers belong to the group identified in the

status word group ID (3x+9 bits 15 and 16). The user must set aside 32

registers as a permanent image of the channel data. During run time, the

ladder need only determine the current group for the eight data registers (3x+0

through 3x+7) in order to determine where the data should be copied into the

32 register channel image.

When autosequence is disabled, the user must manually increment the group

select in the configuration word and the module sends back only the data

requested.

Sample ladder logic for both techniques is provided in section 6.3.

4x Data Input Mode: Bits 11, 12

The module continuously outputs a group of eight registers worth of data.

The data for a given group can be paged between three modes. These are the

standard channel input data, channel status data or Time stamp data.
