Best choice when connecting to an Existing network:

Connect the WAN port of your X-25 to your existing network,

leaving the LAN port disconnected after using it for the initial

installation programming.

Best choice with an Existing Network and Remote Phones:

Obtain a static IP address from your Internet Service Provider

(ISP). Connect the WAN port of your X-25 to a dedicated network

switch (purchased separately) and enter the Static IP address in

the WAN programming of the X-25, without connecting the LAN.

Using the X-25 as a Router and Connecting Remote Phones:

Obtain a static IP address from your Internet Service Provider

(ISP). Connect the WAN port of your X-25 to the ISP Modem and

use the LAN port to connect all of your phones and computers.

Connecting Telephone Lines:

You can connect up to four (4) analog (standard or PSTN)

telephone lines to your X-25. Connect one line to each port, in

the order that you want them to ring 1 - 4 or take advantage of

XBLUE

In this configuration some

modems require “Bridge” or

“Concurrent Bridge Mode”,

if this is necessary (WAN

registration fails) contact your

ISP. The X-25 will authenticate

directly to the ISP.

The X-2020 telephone is also

a “Layer 2” network switch. This

allows you to plug your existing

data cable into the telephone and

then connect from your telephone

to your computer. Allowing

you to use your current network

configuration.
