NSTRUCTIONS
The communications software is used to setup, tune, and diagnose RSTC Tension Controllers.
Computer Requirements: Microsoft ® Windows ® 98 (or newer) or compatible operating system and an available USB
port.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION BY INTERNET
1. RSTC Communications Software is available for
download from the Nexen website at
www.nexengroup.com
.
2. Navigate to the RSTC1000 or RSTC1100 product
page and click on Software under Accessories.
3. Click on the appropriate software product and select
Software Download under Resources.
4. At the Open/Save window prompt, select Open. The
software will be downloaded and the installation process
will start automatically.
5. Follow the directions for installation.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION BY CD
1. Insert the disk into the computer's CD drive.
2. The installation should start automatically.
If not, select RUN from the Window START menu. Click
on BROWSE and locate the CD drive in the directory.
Open the RSTC application. Click OK at the RUN
pop-up window.
3. Follow the directions for installation.
SOFTWARE OPERATION
1. After the software is installed, attach the USB cable to
the computer and RSTC. (See Figure 1)
2. The computer will detect the RSTC as new USB
hardware and will automatically install the drivers.
3. Apply power to the RSTC.
4. Click on the RSTC Comm icon located on the
desktop.
5. Click on the Help menu and select Help.
6. Read the help fi les for instructions on using the
RSTC Communication Software.
Note: The RSTC must be powered up in order to open
the communications line with the Communications
Software.
