INSTALLATION
NOTE
Clean all pipelines to remove dirt and scale before
installation. If you use a pipe compound when installing
the pipe or tube fittings into the Nexen Air volume
Booster, use a Teflon dope as a sealant.
The use of a filter to remove dirt and entrained liquid in
the air line ahead of the Nexen Air Volume Booster is
recommended for best performance. If an air line
lubricator is used, it should be located downstream
beyond the Nexen Air Volume Booster in order to avoid
interference with the Nexen Air Volume Booster
performance.
1.
Apply a minimum amount of pipe sealant compound to
the male threads of the air line only; then, starting at the
third thread back, work away from the end of the air line
to avoid the possibility of contaminating the Nexen Air
Volume Booster or air lines.
2.
Screw the 1/4'' NPT Male Elbow (Item 3) into the Nexen
Electro-Pneumatic Transducer (See Figure 4).

Screw the Male Adapter (1/4'' Tubing to 1/4'' NPT) (Item
5) into the Nexen Electro-Pneumatic Transducer (See
Figure 4).
4.
Screw the Nexen Air Volume Booster (Item 1) onto the
1/4'’ NPT Male Elbow (Item 3) (See Figure 4).
5.
Screw the 1/4'' Female / Female / Male ''T'' Connector
(Item 2) into the Nexen Air Volume Booster (Item 1) (See
Figure 4).
6.
Screw the Male Elbow Adapter (1/4'' Tubing to 1/4'' NPT)
(Item 4) into the 1/4'' Female / Female / Male ''T''
Connector (Item 2) (See Figure 4).
7.
Slide the Spring Guard (Item 8) over the 6'' x .25 O.D.
Plastic Tubing (Item 7); then, using the two 1/4'' Tubing
Ferrule Fittings (Item 6), secure the 6'' x .25 O.D. Plastic
Tubing to the Male Adapter (1/4'' Tubing to 1/4'' NPT)
(Item 5) and Male Elbow Adapter (1/4'' Tubing to 1/4''
NPT) (Item 4) (See Figure 4).
8.
Connect the Inlet and Outlet air lines to the Nexen Air
Volume Booster (Item 1) (See Figure 4).

OPERATION
Apply input signal to the signal port. There are no operating
controls on the Nexen Air Volume Booster.
