Installation

Use with reference to the R180/av100 back panel graphic and installation diagram on
the next two pages.

Connect the EAS CONTROLLER port on the R180/av100 to the MIP-921e COMM 1
using the cable provided.

Connect COMM 2 of the MIP-921e to the CEMS 0500 EAS DATA port using the
CX506S cable supplied with the CEMS 0500.

Connect VIDEO OUT of the CEMS 0500 to VIDEO LOOP of the R180/av100. If the
video is not looped through to any other equipment, it must be terminated using the
supplied termination. To acquire the best possible picture adjust the video level on
the back of the R180/av100 with the VIDEO LEVEL control.

Loop the headend output through the R180/av70 using the RF IN and OUT ports.

Adjust the output level of the R180/av100 to match the output of the headend using
the OUTPUT LEVEL control on the rear of the R180/av100. The output level is
factory preset to +30 dB. To activate the unit, short pins 5 and 9 of the EAS
CONTROLLER port on the back of the R180/av100.

The optional EXTERNAL FILTER loop on the back of the R180/av100 can be used
for individual external channel blocking filters or data channel trap in the event a local
channel elects not to have its signal interrupted by the system.
