Model 632 IF Demodulator Instruction Sheet

Description

The Model 632 IF Demodulator
provides a Baseband video
signal when supplied with an
NTSC standard signal.

It is designed for use with the
Model 628 Encoder Sensor, to
prevent the loss of the scrambled
signal in systems using IF output
only.

For headends that have video
monitors, and require a high
quality, the 632 provides a low
cost means of driving the monitor
from IF signals.

Installation

To use the Model 628 Scrambler

Switch – with systems having
IF output only – connect the
scrambled IF output to a
directional coupler. Take the
tapped output and connect to
the IF input of the 632, and
connect the Video Output of
the Model 632 to the Sense
Input of the 628. The output
of the coupler then goes to
the secondary input of the
model 628.

1. Mount the unit as desired.
2. Connect IF input to the
“IF Input” connector.
3. Connect “Video Output” to
the destination of the Video
Signal.
4. Insert the plug of the power
supply included into the
power jack on the unit.
