Fig. 9: Settings for the pneumatic stop:
1. Set the height position of the pneumatic stop. Loosen the locating
screw 7 at the cylinder bracket block. Place the stop plate 3 onto
the stitch plate 8 and retighten the locating screw.
2. Adjust the lateral distance to kettup knife and pres-
sure foot. The distance A (between kettup knife 2
and stop plate 3) should be approx 0.2-0.3 mm.
Set the distance by rotating the knurled screw 4.
3. Aligne the pressure foot 1 at the stop 3. Loosen
the pressure foot locating screw, push the pressu-
re foot close to the stop and retighten the locating
screw. The sewing foot should be positioned at
distance B of approx 0.5 mm from the kettup kni-
fe.
4. The advance and withdrawal
rates of the stop are set using
the pressure cylinder throttles.
Set the advance rate using
throttle 7, set the withdrawal
rate using throttle 5.
