Below 1.1 mmol/L Immediate medical attention re-
quired.
Low blood sugar
Below 3.9 mmol/L Eat a suitable snack or small meal.
Follow your physician's instructions.
High blood sugar
With an empty stomach
Above 5.6 mmol/L
2 hours after eating
Above 7.8 mmol/L
If the value remains high 2 hours
after your last meal, this may indi-
cate hyperglycaemia (high blood
sugar). Discuss with your doctor
any possible action to take in this
case.
High blood sugar,
possible ketones
Above 13.3 mmol/L Perform a ketone test. Consult your
doctor.
Very high blood sugar
Above 35 mmol/L Repeat the measurement with a
new test strip. If the display shows
the same result again: Seek medi-
cal advice immediately.
