Re-clocking DA
In its basic configuration, the DVA -1
provides 2 re-clocked serial digital
outputs from a single serial digital
input. The DVA-1 will phase lock to
the incoming signal and extract the
clock signal. It then uses a phase
detector to compare the phase of the
PLL clock with that of the incoming
data. The error output of the phase
detector is used to retime the data
signal so that it is correct with
respect to the output clock signal.

NTSC/PAL Monitor Port
The DVA-1 also converts the serial
digital signal into NTSC, or PAL,
standard composite signal. This
signal is available as an output for
viewing on an analog NTSC, or PAL,
monitor.
