5.10.2.1 FAST: Configure Æ Word#

Where # represents the selected EEPROM Register # (Word1, Word2, or Word3 on the previous
menu):
Obtain the FAST code for the new option from Comtech EF Data. Enter the code carefully. Use
the ◄ ► arrow keys to move the cursor to each character, then use the
▲ ▼ arrow keys to edit the
character. When all characters are edited, press ENTER.
The modem will respond with “Configured Successfully” if the new FAST option has
been accepted; otherwise, if an invalid code is entered, the following error message is displayed:

Carefully re-enter the code after being automatically returned to the previous menu. If the
problem persists, contact Comtech EF Data Customer Support for further assistance.
5.10.3 FAST: Demo-Mode
FAST Options Demo Mode: Off (Off,On) (

When enabled, Demo Mode allows access to ALL CDM-740 FAST options for 2592000 seconds
(30 full days). Demo Mode may be turned on and off an unlimited number of time until the
2592000 seconds have expired. The time count only decrements when the mode is On.
Use the ▲ ▼ arrow keys to select Demo-Mode as Off or On. When On, the bottom line will
display the number of seconds remaining for the free Demo Mode.
When the Demo period expires, the following menu is displayed:
