Replacing the Throttle Cable
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance procedure, set the
parking brake, stop the engine, and disconnect the spark plug wire.
Note:
The Throttle Cable is set at the factory and generally no service is required.
However, when replacing the throttle cable it is important to follow these steps:
Tools Needed:
§ 5/16" wrench or socket
§ Phillips screwdriver
§ Standard screwdriver
1. Raise the dump bed.
2. Use wrench or socket to loosen the screw on the throttle cable clamp (Bowden
clamp) so that the throttle cable can slide below it. It is not necessary to remove
the clamp (Figure 20).
3. Unhook the "Z" bend at the end of the throttle cable from the throttle plate.
