III. PREPARATION FOR USE

Unpack the scale from packaging. before the very first use, wash that part of the appliance

that may come in contact with foods..

Installation of batteries

Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom part of the scale and insert

3 AAA batteries; pay attention to correct polarity and close the cover.

V. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS (fig. 2)

Weighing

1. Put the scale on suitable flat surface (see

I. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS). Do not put 

things you want to weight on the plate before you turn the appliance on!

2. Press the button

ON/OFF to turn on the scale (the display will show all symbols for

about 2 seconds).

3. When the display shows

0 g, the appliance is ready for weighing.

4. Put the food (thing) you want to weigh in the centre of the plate

A5 and wait for settling

the value shown on the display.

5. You can use

UNIT to change the weight unit at any time during weighing.

6. After weighing, you may turn off the scale by pressing the

ON/OFF button or the scale

will turn off automatically after 30 seconds.

Change to weight units (A4)

The scale may indicate weight in the following units: g gram, lb oz – pound/ounce.

Repeatedly press the

UNIT button to change the units as follows: g / lb oz.

Four modes are shown on the display:

Tare mode (A3)

If you want to use the scale for additional weighing (adding various ingredients) or if you

want to use a bowl for weighing of product, press the

TARE button to reset the display

before adding each ingredient or putting the bowl on the plate. When the display shows 0 g

/ 0 lb oz, the appliance is ready for additional weighing.

Note

If you press the

TARE button when the appliance is loaded by the product, the weight

reading will reset on the display. If all products are taken away from the weighing plate,

a negative value will appear on the display.

Exceeding loading capacity of the scale

Maximum weight for a product weighing is 5000 g. The display will show error message in

case the weight of the product on the plate exceeds 5000 g. It means the product weight

exceeds the loading capacity of the scale.
