AdheSE ® DC Activator
Instructions for Use
Description
AdheSE is a self-etching light-curing filled two-component
adhesive system for enamel and dentin. It comprises
1. AdheSE Primer
2. AdheSE Bond
AdheSE DC Activator is an optional component, allowing
the system to be used for dual/self-curing adhesive
applications. The activator is mixed with AdheSE Bond in a
1:1 ratio (activation of the bonding component).
Composition
AdheSE Primer: dimethacrylate, phosphonic acid acrylate,
initiators and stabilizers in an aqueous solution
AdheSE Bond: HEMA, dimethacrylate, silicon dioxide,
initiators and stabilizers
AdheSE DC Activator: initiators, solvents
Indications of AdheSE (without DC Activator)
– Adhesive for direct light-curing composite and
compomer restorations
– After light-curing of the bonding component for
build-ups with dual or self-curing composites
Indications of AdheSE with DC Activator
– Adhesive cementation of indirect metal-free restorations
(inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges made of eg IPS Empress,
IPS e.max CAD/Press) or of metal-free posts (eg
FRC Postec Plus) with dual or self-curing composites
(eg Variolink II)
– Direct restorations and core build-ups with dual and
self-curing composites (eg MultiCore)
Contraindication
If the patient is allergic to any of the components of
AdheSE or AdheSE DC or if the stipulated working
technique cannot be used.
Direct pulp capping.
