INSTALLATION

This wine chiller cabinet has magnetic door latches. If you have
bought it to replace one with mechanical latches, we strongly urge
you to remove the door on the old one before throwing it away.

Children could lock themselves inside and, if not found quickly, could
smother. When out of order, if your appliance needs to be disposed
of, call your retailer or a specialist. Some components may be dan-
gerous for health and the environment.

Setup and Connection

Your appliance is designed to operate at ambient temperatures
corresponding to its climatic category.

and 0 to +16 °C when the Winter button is pressed.

These temperatures must be carefully respected. The climatic cat-
egory of your appliance is shown on the identification plate as fol-
lows :

CLIMATIC CATEGORY

AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

SN

from +10 °C to +32 °C

N

from +16 °C to +32 °C

ST

from +18 °C to +38 °C

T

from +18 °C to +43 °C

Do not install it near a source of heat such a radiator, stove, etc…

Always leave a sufficient space above the unit.

Place it near an earthed 10-16 A plug. Make certain that the volt-
age on the rating plate (on the bottom left side of the inner liner)
corresponds to the voltage available in your home.

By law, the unit must be earthed.

We will not be liable for any incident caused by failure to earth the
unit.

BEFORE STARTING YOUR UNIT :

Make sure that the unit is switched off.

Let it stand for two hours so that the refrigerant can settle.

Clean the inside surfaces with a sponge soaked with water and
vinegar (or equivalent).

Some units come with two bumpers in the accessories pouch. In
that case, attach the bumpers behind the cabinet to keep it at the
correct distance from the wall (A1).

Adjust the level using the adjustable legs on the unit. Leaning the
cabinet back slightly will make the door easier to close (A2).

Your unit comes with a transport shim. A skirting board is provided
with the unit.

1.

Open the door (B1).

2.

Remove the door shim and washer.

3.

Remove the shim support by removing both screws.

4.

Put the screws and washers together. Keep them in a safe place.
You will need them if you ever move the unit

to facilitate engagement of the skirting board screws (B2).

OPERATION

“Ideally, wine is to be kept at a temperature of between 8°C and 14°C.
The temperature may, however, be lower or higher, without any harm
to the wine, on the condition that changes in temperature are not too
sudden. Your wine chiller cabinet may without risk drop to 5°C or 6°C
in winter to rise in summer up to 16 °C, provided that change takes
place slowly. Nevertheless, under these conditions, the wine may
reach maturity more quickly”.

Your Unit and its Functions

THERMOSTAT AND GREEN ON LIGHT

The thermostat is used :

to start and stop your unit,

to adjust inside temperature. Turn the setting counterclockwise for
a warmer setting and clockwise for a cooler setting.

STARTING THE UNIT

Place the thermostat at the mid-point setting.

Place a glass of water containing the thermometer supplied with the
unit on the second tray from the top of the cooler.

Let the unit run for 24 hours and read the thermometer without re-
moving it from the glass of water.

Adjust the temperature setting as desired (warmer or cooler).

Repeat every 24 hours until the desired temperature is achieved.

SUMMER/WINTER LIGHTED SWITCH

Turn on the summer/winter switch when ambient temperature is be-
tween 0°C and +16°C. The orange light will go on and a control sys-
tem will restore the balance of conditions in the cabinet to ensure that
wine is properly protected.

Adjust the temperature setting as desired (warmer or cooler).

Tropical Areas: For use in tropical climates, we recommend that you
ask your dealer to bypass the summer/winter control system.

DOOR LOCK (ON SELECTED MODELS ONLY)

The wine cellar lock will protect your wine.

REMOVABLE WOODEN RACKS TO STORE BOTTLES

For cabinets with solid doors :

144 claret (Bordeaux) bottles standing 280 mm high (in 8 bottle lay-
ers with alternate head-to-foot arrangement)

96 claret bottles standing 302 mm high (in 6 bottle head-to-head
layers).

For cabinets with glass doors :

144 claret bottles standing 280 or 302 mm high (in 8 bottle layers
with alternate head to foot arrangement).

Put white wines on the lower racks (cooler) and red on the top ones
(warmer). We recommending loading the racks starting from the bot-
tom.

“HYDRATOR” BIN

Keep enough water in the “Hydrator” bin to maintain sufficient hu-
midity inside the cabinet and keep your wines in perfect condition.

A small device at the back of the bin can be used to recover water
when you defrost the cabinet:

swing it to the right (IN) to recover water in the “Hydrator” bin.

swing it to the left (OUT) to discharge the water to the evaporator
pan on the compressor.
