KOSS COBALT™ GENERAL USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Using the stereophone with the Audio Transmitter:
In order for the Koss Cobalt™ stereophone to communicate with the Audio Transmitter, the
units must be “paired.” Only one (1) transmitter may be paired with the stereophone at a time.
Follow these steps for pairing the stereophone to the Audio Transmitter:
1. Turn the switch on the Audio Transmitter to the “ON” position. The LED on the back of the
Transmitter will illuminate.
2. Hold the On / Off/ End Call button on the stereophone for 5 seconds. You will hear the “ON”
tone through the stereophone.
3. The stereophone will immediately begin searching for wireles devices, and the connection
LED will illuminate intermittently.
4. When a connection has been established (can take up to 60 seconds), both the LED on the
transmitter and the connection LED on the stereophone will flash twice every 3 seconds, for as
long as they are paired.
5. You may now press ”Play” on your audio player.

Using the stereophone with the USB Audio Dongle:
In order for the Cobalt™ stereophone to communicate with the USB Audio Dongle, the units
must be “paired.” Only one (1) dongle may be paired with the stereophone at a time. Follow
these steps for pairing the stereophone to the USB Audio Dongle:
1. Check that the LED on the USB Audio Dongle is illuminated.
2. Hold the On/Off/End Call button on the stereophone for 5 seconds. You will hear the “ON”
tone through the stereophone.
3. The stereophone will immediately begin searching for wireless devices, and the connection
LED will illuminate intermittently.
4. When a connection has been established (can take up to 60 seconds), both the LED on the
USB Audio Dongle and the connection LED on the stereophone will flash twice every 3
seconds, for as long as they are paired.
5. All sound from your computer will now be played through the stereophone. You can control
playback of your media player application by using the Play/Pause/Answer button.

Using with your mobile phone:
The Koss Cobalt™ can be used with select mobile phones. To pair with your mobile phone,
follow these instructions:
1. Enable Bluetooth® on your phone (refer to the phone’s user manual). Turn on the
stereophone. Check that no other device connects with the headset by confirming that the
connection LED is not flashing.
2. In the phone’s menu, search for devices.
3. Select KBT1 Headset.
