BASIC ENTRY TOUCHPAD
USER MANUAL

TM

®

BEFORE OPERATING
TOUCHPAD,
CHARGE SYSTEM
FOR 4 HOURS.

Sleep Mode:

In order to conserve battery life, the
touchpad unit will enter into a “Sleep
Mode” if the unit has not been used for
4 hours. Once the unit has been fully
charged and the charging system has
switched to trickle charge, the unit will
enter into a sleep mode. Nothing is
necessary to “wake up” the unit. Enter
the password in to unlock the unit. You
may need to enter the password twice.

BASIC TOUCH PAD
OPERATION

(See Note 1)

1) NORMAL OPERATION

(See Note 2)

TO UNLOCK UNIT —
User, Pharmacist, or Supervisor

1. Enter 4, 5, or 6 digit code —
(#, #, #, #, #, #).

System turns on with first # pressed.

If code is VALID system will automatically
unlock with the last # entered (Green light
will illuminate on touchpad).

If code is INVALID system will give one
long beep, or no beep if less than 6
digits are entered. (Return to Step 1).

If THREE INVALID Codes are entered in a
row the system will enter the “Access
Denied” function, and respond with one
long beep if a number key is depressed
(See Note 3).

NOTE 1: The keypad will terminate any ongoing transaction if a key has not been pressed in 30 seconds.

NOTE 2: The key lock should be in the locked position, the key is vertical and aligned with orange dot.

NOTE 3: For security reasons, once the user begins a transaction (normal operation by pressing the PIN key to
change code, or changing the access times by pressing the “TIME” key), they are committed to the successful
entry of the PIN number to perform the particular function. Failure results in being denied access to that particular
function only for the specified access denials time. While the other functions will not be impeded by one function
denied, pressing the first key for that function (e.g., PIN or TIME) will reset the timer for that procedure. The typical
user may want to keep this tamper-protection feature set to a relatively short time, 1-2 minutes.
