Section 2: Unlock & Lock Cart

To Unlock the Cart:
- Enter 4-digit User or Supervisor Code.
- If the code is valid, system will automatically unlock unit.
- If the code is INVALID, system will not unlock unit (red light on touchpad will

blink

3 times and 3 beeps will be heard). Reenter correct code.

- If 3 INVALID CODES are entered consecutively, the Tamper Evident Signal will

be triggered; the unit will enter Access Denied mode and respond by locking

down the unit.

The red light will flash accompanied by an alert tone. You will not be able to

unlock the cart until the Access Denied time limit expires. This lock out time is

one minute and can not be changed.
To Lock the Cart:
- Press down on the red lock knob located on the front of the cart.
- If your cart is also equipped with AUTO RE-LOCK (FL411), the cart will lock

automatically when the specified time elapses.

- To re-lock before time limit expires, press down on the re-lock handle located

on the front of the cart until it clicks into place.

Section 3: Manually Lock & Unlock Cart

The cart can be unlocked and locked manually (without the touchpad) by using

the key lock and red lock knob.

To Lock the Cart:

Section 4: Low Battery Indicator/Recharge Batteries

FL410 & FL411 Touch Pads:
The touch pad is powered by a battery pack that is Not Rechargeable but has

a 10 year life expectancy. A Yellow LED above the number 5 key will illuminate

when batteries need to be replaced. This light will remain illuminated for

approximately 1 year before the voltage will drop to a level too low to operate the

keypad. Replacement batteries must be ordered through Metro.
FL411 Touch Pad w/ Auto Relock:
FL411 includes a pair of rechargeable 6V batteries. When the battery charge

is low, the RECHARGE BATTERY light on the touchpad will blink when the cart

is unlocked and 5 beeps will be heard periodically. Once battery is deeply

discharged, the electronic auto-locking system will not operate until the

recharger is connected and a minimum power level is re-established.
The battery will hold a sufficient charge to operate the cart’s electronics for about

2 weeks. It is recommended that the batteries be routinely recharged once a

week for 6 to 8 hours. Allowing batteries to deeply discharge will significantly

reduce their life. Remind personnel to recharge on a regular basis. A

recharger is included with every FL411 cart. Using any other recharger can

seriously damage the cart’s PC board.

To Recharge Batteries:
- Plug the recharger into a standard 120VAC wall outlet.
- Plug the recharger jack into the 12’’ long breakaway extender, and the angled

male end of the extender into the jack on the back of the cart.

- The extender is important. It will help to prevent drive-away damage if the cart

is moved while connected to the recharger.

- While the battery is charging, the light on the recharger will be either red or

yellow; when fully charged it will turn to green.
