Mounting Shafts Back on the Machine:

1. Slide the Intermediate Shaft (item 7) onto the main gearbox.
2. Take the PTO Support Bracket (item 3) and slide it onto the Intermediate Shaft

and set it on the frame.

3. Align mounting holes and tighten the 4 bolts for mounting the PTO Support

Bracket, making sure there is the same number of spacers under the bracket as
before.

4. Slide the Intermediate Shaft forward tight against the bearing and tighten the 2 set

screws of the bearing.

5. Slide the new Spacer (item 5) onto the stub shaft.
6. Re-mount the hose support (item 1).
7. Mount the Input and re-hook to the tractor.
8. Do a final check of the alignment. The Intermediate Shaft and Input Shaft should

be in a straight line from the main gearbox. If not, adjust the number of spacers
under the PTO Support Bracket. (see page 13 of manual)

Operating and Safety Decal:

1. There are 2 decals included in the kit. One is to be mounted on the Hose Support

(item 1) shown as (item 8) and the other should be mounted on the tractor in
normal viewing range of the operator.

2. After mounting the decals review the turning procedure with the operator. They

must understand that when turning in the field, while operating the mower, the
yellow portion of the shield on the input shaft MUST REMAIN IN THE
GREEN
. Operating in the RED will INTRODUCE HIGH VIBRATIONS to
the shaft and DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO BOTTOMING OUT. (see “Check
PTO Length During Transportation”, page 17 of manual)
