Installing the SeaHawk LD5100

The LD5100 is a wall mounted device. To secure the device to the wall:

1

Remove the aluminum back panel with the electronics from the
enclosure.

There are knockouts on the top and bottom of the enclosure designed to
accommodate 0.5 inch (m) conduit.

2

Remove as many knockouts as necessary.

There are two holes in the top back of the unit spaced 11.0 inches (m)
apart.

3

Use drywall anchors to secure the unit to the wall.

4

Put two more drywall anchors through the two holes in the bottom back
of the unit.

5

Reinstall the back panel, and reconnect the electronics.

3

Connecting the Water Leak Detection Cable

1

Connect the stripped end of the 15 foot (4.57m) leader cable to the
terminal block labeled TB7 on the main board of the LD5100.

2

With the screws of the terminal block connector facing up, connect the
leader cable wires in this order from left to right: white, black, green, and
red.

Once the leader cable is plugged into the terminal blocks, it is ready to
be connected to the leak detection cable (sensing cable).

3

Unscrew the EOL terminator from the end of the leader cable.

4

Attach the first length of sensing cable to the leader cable.

5

Route the sensing cable according to a cable layout diagram; refer to the
LD5100 User Guide for details about the layout diagram.

6

Secure the EOL terminator on the unoccupied end of the sensing cable.
