Critical Hardware Alarms:

STEP 1:

Connect your

VelocityKVM-24 Dual Data Port Receiver to the

VX

40 using

multi-mode fiber-optic cables (up to 1000 meters). Connect

L1

and

L3

to any Downstream

Transmit Ports. Connect

K1

to any Downstream Receive Port and

K2

to the same

numbered Downstream Transmit Port.

STEP 2:

Ensure that the Receiver’s ON/OFF switch is in the OFF (0) position. Insert the

AC power cord into the Receiver and plug it into a standard AC source. Turn the unit ON.

STEP 3:

Depending on your configuration, connect your desktop devices (monitors,

keyboard, mouse, stereo 3D, etc.) to the Receiver using standard cables as shown in the

examples below. Turn all the devices ON.

STEP 8:

Connect both supplied AC Power Cords (PWR-0000006-R)

to the receptacles located on the

VX

40's power supplies. Plug each

one into a standard AC source. Verify that all system functions are

operating properly.

STEP 4:

Connect your

VelocityKVM-24 Dual Data Port Transmitter to the

VX

40 using multi-mode

fiber-optic cables (up to 1000 meters). Connect

L1

and

L3

to any Upstream Receive Ports. Connect

K1

to any Upstream Transmit Port and

K2

to the same numbered Upstream Receive Port.

STEP 5:

Ensure that the Transmitter’s ON/OFF switch is in the OFF (0) position. Insert the AC

power cord into the Transmitter and plug it into a standard AC source. Turn the unit ON.

STEP 6:

Connect the DVI cables from the Source CPU to the Transmitter’s DVI IN 1 and 2 Ports. If

desired, connect a local monitor to each of the Transmitter’s two DVI OUT ports with standard DVI

cables. Connect an optional Keyboard & Mouse to the local USB or PS2 Ports. Connect your

peripheral devices from their source to the Transmitter Inputs with standard copper cables. Ensure

the CPU is turned ON.

STEP 7:

Connect the

VX

40 Controller Cards’ LAN Ports to your Controller CPU with CAT5 cables.
