Basic Installation

This guide contains instructions for the basic installation and operation of the VMConsole which is
compatible with Windows® 98 thru Windows® 2000.

Basic Installation:

The VMConsole can be delivered on a CD or as an email attachment. In either case, the
VMConsole program should be put onto your desktop.

Next, connect the RS232 Cable from the VM-3 (Comm. B Port) to the RS232 jack on your PC.

When this connection is made, click on the VMConsole Icon to start the program. Be careful to
start the Console only once. Multiple open copies of the VMConsole will inhibit communications.

The VMConsole will open with the following Menus.

1) File

2) Video Messenger

3) Window

The File Menu

The File Menu is a standard Windows®
menu contains familiar items like New,
Open, Save As, Save, Close, etc. Note that
the VMConsole opens up an untitled.vmc
file. Files of messages are all saved as a
.vmc file and can be reopened changed and
downloaded (sent) to the VM-3 from your
PC.
