) to set up the cri-

teria for determining whether a signal is good or not good. This example
illustrates an EDH error where EDH/CRC Errors are not part of the criteria.

Valid Signal Criteria

This section lists the criteria always enabled for determining signal health.
These criteria cannot be disabled. For an overview of these criteria, refer to

HD/SD Criteria on page 17

.

To use EDH/CRC Errors as part of signal health criteria, select the EDH/
CRC Errors

Enable

checkbox.

EDH/CRC Threshold

If EDH/CRC Errors checkbox has been selected, use this section to set the
amount of erroneous fields and erroneous total fields that the module will
allow an EDH/CRC error to occur before reporting an error. This setting
applies at all input signals, Primary, Secondary, and Alternate.

Error Reporting

If an error has been detected, it will be reported next to the signal name
(

Errors

). Use the corresponding

Reset

button to reset the error log and see if

the signal has recovered. If there are no errors the status will report

None

.
