Remove the outer housing unit/UFP actuator and safety

chains from the existing tongue. Save the hardware

removed. Remove the tongue wire harness and save.

Remove the tongue from the trailer frame cap and save

the hardware.

Place the swing tongue assembly into the frame cap

of the frame weldment. Secure with existing hardware

(1/2” X 4” hex bolt and 1/2” flange lock nut).

Run the existing wire harness from the front of the

swing tongue assembly to the rear and connect to the

frame wire harnesses. Secure the wire harness with

7/8” grommet.

Connect the 6-1/2” brakeline to the 18” male-

female brake hose. Using a coupling connect

the 18” male-female brake hose to the brakeline

assembly with hook. Run this brakeline assembly

through the front of the swing tongue unit to the rear

and connect to the brakeline inside the frame. Connect

the brakeline assembly again to the inner actuator

inside the outer housing unit of the UFP actuator.

Place the actuator-housing unit to the front of the swing

tongue using the existing three (3) 1/2” X 4” hex bolts

and 1/2” flange lock nuts. Using a 1/2” X 5” hex bolt

on the lower right mounting hole on the swing tongue,

secure the safety chain. Place a 1/2” flat washer on the

1/2” X 5” hex bolt followed by one (1) safety chain and

insert into the actuator housing unit and tongue. Place

the second safety chain on the bolt followed by a 1/2”

flat washer and 1/2” flange lock nut. Tighten.
