Tongue Weight Adjustment

Approximate Tongue Weight for Best Towing.

Tongue weight too high, move the axle assembly forward.

Tongue weight too low, move the axle assembly backward.

Tongue weight should be 5% to 7% of the total gross

weight of the boat and trailer combined.

Double Axle Brake Line Kit

Remove the small parts from the frame by cutting the bands.

Remove the bolt bag and sort all nuts and bolts by size.

Rocker Bogie:

Align the center hole of the bogie with the center hole of the spring

bracket. Insert and secure with a 3/4” X 5-1/2” hex bolt from the

outside-in and tighten with a 3/4” hex lock nut.

Springs:

Mount the springs to the axle with the 1/2” X 6-1/2” axle u-bolts

from the top down. Install the 4” spring clamp on the top of the

spring under the u-bolts. Install the spring plate under the axle.

Tighten the 1/2” flange lock nuts evenly. (The springs are normally

factory installed to the axles.)

Axles:

For installation of the front axle: From the outside-in insert a 9/

16” X 3-3/4” hex bolt through the spring bracket and the eye of the

spring and secure with a 9/16” hex lock nut. Raise the rear of the

axle and insert the hook end of the spring into the bogie and

secure with a 9/16” X 3-3/4” hex bolt under the spring and

tightening with a 9/16” X 3-3/4” hex lock nut.

For installation of the rear axle: From the outside-in insert a 9/

16” X 3-3/4” hex bolt through the rear of the bogie and the eye of

the spring and secure with a 9/16” hex lock nut. Raise the rear of

the axle and insert the hook end of the spring into the spring

bracket and secure with the spring support channel (Ref.#17)

under the spring and secure from the outside-in with 9/16” X 4-1/2”

hex bolt and 9/16” hex lock nut.

NOTE: Make certain the hook end of the springs point in the same

direction - to the rear of the trailer, on both axles!

Mount the tire and rim assemblies using 80-90 ft. lbs. of torque on

the lug nuts using a proper tightening apparatus/tool.

Tongue:

Slip the tongue into the front frame cap of the frame. Line up the

holes, fasten the tongue in the frame with a 1/2” X 4” carriage bolt

and 1/2” flange lock nut at the front of the frame cap; fasten the

tongue in the rear with a 1/2” X 4-1/2” hex bolt and 1/2” flat washer

under the nut and bolt. String the tongue wire to the hole on the

side of the tongue and pull the tongue wire through the hole. Place

a rubber grommet in the wire hole over wires. Plug the tongue

harness into the frame harness.

Safety Chain:

Place a safety chain at the front of the tongue. Insert a 1/2” X 5”

hex bolt through the through a link on the chain and then through

hole provided in the tongue. Place the other safety chain over the

bolt threads and secure with a 1/2” flange lock nut. Tighten.

Winch Post:

Position the winch post assembly on the tongue. Secure with two

(2) 1/2” X 5” tongue u-bolts and 1/2” flange lock nuts. Tighten.

Fasten the winch handle to the winch.

Bunk Models:

Place assembled bunk on the rear support tube (Ref.#95). Secure

the bunks in the outside holes of the rear support tube with 1/2” 4-

1/2” hex bolts and 1/2” flange lock nuts.
