TA0003 4” Roller (Holy) Roller Arm Assembly

The TA0003 Roller Arm Assembly is a replacement

roller system that is used in place of the standard front

keel rollers and cradle assembly that are shipped on the

4,000 tandem roller trailers in both steel and aluminum

frames. They are designed to support the front of the boat

by the hull rather than the keel. It is shipped complete

with all of the attaching hardware and front cross member

support pad.

Removal Instructions

Remove one of the retainer rings from the pin attaching

the keel roller assembly to the bottom of the front cross

member. Remove the pin and the keel roller assembly.

Remove the cross member pads and the aluminum ex-

trusions.

Installation Instructions

Locate the cross member pad provided with the TA0003

kit. Place a 3/8” x 3-3/4” carriage bolt in the center hole

as shown. Drop the bolt down through the hole in the

front cross member. Secure in place by using a 3/8” flat

washer, lock washer, and hex nut. Tighten.

Place one of the roller arm mounting weldments on the

front cross member on either side of the trailer. Drop the

legs down around the front cross member of the frame

and secure to the cross member with a 1/2” x 4-1/2”

carriage bolt and flange lock nut. Do not tighten at this

point.

Place the plastic spacer shim around the roller arm (Item No. 3), then drop

into the roller arm mounting bracket weldment just installed. Align the holes

in the mating parts and insert a 1/2” x 3” carriage bolt in the center hole and

secure with a flange lock nut.

Repeat this process on the remaining roller arm assembly. Assembly is

complete.

Adjustment

Place the boat on the trailer. Position the roller arms so that one side of the

rollers is just to the outside of a strake if possible. Positioning the rollers as

such will assist in centering your boat on the trailer during loading. Once

positioned check the boat to make sure it is at least one to two inches about

the front cross member pad installed earlier. The boat must have this much

clearance in order for it to load and unload properly.

Once the location on the roller arm assemblies is determined, tighten the

bolts left loose during assembly. Adjustment is complete.
