Sideframe Mounting Spare Tire Bracket

for all Powersports Trailers

The

TA0153-03 spare tire bracket has been designed to

specifically fit on all Powersports trailers. It will attach to

either 2” x 3” or 2” x 4” side frames. It is powder painted in a

black finish only.

NOTE: The spare tire bracket and tire should be mount-

ed on the right side frame (ditch side or away from traf-

fic) to reduce potential damage to oncoming traffic in

the event of a tire loss.

The spare tire bracket must be mounted far enough

away from either the front or rear side market lights so

it does not block the 45° photometic lighting angle re-

quired by law.

Assembly Instructions

• Open the bundle and sort all items by size.

• Locate the three-1/2” x 1 ½” fine threaded bolts. Insert

them into three of the wheel pattern holes as shown in the

parts drawing.

• Place on a ½” flat washer and then secure in place with a

½” lock nut. Tighten.

• Determine the desired location for the spare tire to be

mounted taking into account the forbidden area noted

above.

• The kit is supplied with both size U-bolts so it will mount to

the two size frames mentioned above.

• Slide the correct U-bolt over the side frame as shown. In-

sert into the mating holes in the spare tire bracket. Secure

with ½” lock washers and hex nuts. Tighten.

• Place the wheel assembly over the studs and secure with

the lug nuts provided. Note that the tapered side of the lug

nut must be towards the wheel so it will fit properly into the

wheel lug nut hole. Tighten.

• Assembly is now complete.

CAUTION: Check the spare tire bracket and wheel lug

nuts peridically for tightness to eliminate tire loss dur-

ing transport.
