9.3 Deactivating/Activating the Inverters

In the following cases, you must deactivate inverters in Sunny Portal:

• You have removed an inverter with integrated or retrofitted Webconnect function from your

system.
or

• You no longer wish to display an inverter in Sunny Portal.

The data of the deactivated inverter is retained in Sunny Portal.

Requirement:

☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and

User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).

Procedure:

1. Call up the inverter properties (see Section 8.1 "Calling up the Device Properties", page 48).
2. Select [Edit].

☑ The menu for setting the device properties opens.

3. To deactivate the inverter in Sunny Portal, deactivate the checkbox active in the area

Data Collection.

4. To activate the inverter in Sunny Portal, activate the checkbox active in the area

Data Collection.

5. Select [Save].

9.4 Deleting Inverters

Requirement:

☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and

User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).

Inverter data is irretrievably deleted
If you delete the inverter, all the data of that inverter will be irretrievably deleted from
Sunny Portal. The data will be retained in the memory of the inverter. The amount of data
depends on the size of the inverter memory.

• Check whether it is sufficient to deactivate the inverter (see Section 9.3 "Deactivating/

Activating the Inverters", page 54).
